Testimonials:

Kim has made a big difference in my life. I had been spending so much time on hair removal each day and was always worried that I might miss something that others would notice. Kim gave me the gift of permanent hair removal - no more plucking, waxing or shaving! I've had many friends that have not seen permanent hair removal with lasers, but electrolysis has been a permanent solution for me.

How Electrolysis Works:
An electrolysis treatment involves the inserting of a sterile probe, the same size as the hair, into the hair follicle opening down to the DERMAL PAPILLA. The dermal papilla is the electrologist’s target. It is the part of the follicle that contains blood and nerves and feeds the growing hair. If the papilla and the regenerative cells surrounding it are destroyed, the hair will die. When the probe is in place, a low-level electrical current is applied that will destroy the papilla and surrounding cells and loosen the hair in the follicle. The hair is then removed. Many hairs will be eliminated with one treatment, but most will need two or more treatments to achieve permanency. Electrolysis involves a series of treatments over a period of time. The length of time depends on the amount of hair. Its coarseness, the cause of the excess hair, and many other factors, but once the dermal papilla has been eliminated; the hair is dead and will not regrow.

Every effort is made at Teton Electrolysis to make the client comfortable and the discomfort minimal.

Treatment Areas:
Hair removal can be done on the hairline, eyebrows, ear, tipoff the nose, cheeks, sideburn area, upper and lower lip, chin throat, neck, shoulders, back, chest, breasts, abdomen, arms, legs, bikini line, hands, feet, toes and fingers. Hairy moles can be treated with the permission of a doctor. It is perfectly safe to treat pregnant women, but the breast and abdominal area should not be treated after the sixth month due to tenderness and possible hormone stimulation.

You may be wondering if there are other methods of hair removal as effective as electrolysis. The answer is no. There is absolutely no reputable scientific evidence that shows any other method of hair removal being as safe, effective and permanent as electrolysis. Laser hair removal has not been proven to be permanent and is very expensive, not to mention the possible damage and discoloration that can be done to the skin.

Many factors can contribute to the growth of excess hair:
Any hair type or color can be eliminated with electrolysis.

At Teton Electrolysis, all three recognized methods of electrolysis can be used depending on which method best suits the individual.

    The three methods are:
Galvanic: (direct current) the hair is destroyed by chemical action. This is achieved when the probe is inserted into the hair follicle and a current is applied to it causing a chemical reaction to take place. It is the combination of body salts and fluid in the skin, the current and the metal the probe is made of. At Teton Electrolysis gold probes are used because they are the highest quality.

Thermolysis: (high frequency) the hair root is destroyed by heat production. This is achieved by inserting the probe into the hair follicle, applying heat to cauterize and destroy the dermal papilla.

Blend: This method is a combination of both thermolysis and galvanic methods. This is the most commonly used method and very successful.
